Who am I?
I am primarily a scientist, following my aspirations to study climate. However, I don't talk about work too much on this blog, except on occasion- I generally try not to think about work much when I'm at home, though it can be hard not to.


I've been happily married to Kevin for 5 years; he is currently a medical student. He's going through a career change, as he was an electrical engineer while I was going through graduate school. But I think medicine will suit him much better. He occasionally will post (usually pretty funny stuff). We recently had our first baby, Nora. I love to post about her and my new mommy adventures!

What do I write about?
Currently I write about my new munchkin because, well, she takes up all of my free time! I also love to read, cook new recipes, and try new restaurants, so I blog a lot about books and food. I love to travel, and when I get the chance, I blog about my adventures in the great wide world- a world which constantly amazes me. We are Colorado natives that recently moved to Baltimore- so I frequently post about our new lives on the East Coast.


What does the blog title mean?
We are the owners of two adorable sphynx cats, and one of them is named Karma. While we own them because Kevin is pretty allergic to regular cats and the lack of fur everywhere helps his allergies, I think their uniqueness as pets represents our spirit of embracing the strange, fun, weird, and new experiences in life- the experiences I hope to write about on this blog.
