Dry in Denver

Awhile ago I posted about how we are way above the average in terms of Colorado snowpack for this year. However, I would like to point out that in Denver and along the front-range, we are actually well below normal precipitation levels!

Mike Nelson, my favorite weather forecaster, says that "Denver has received 4.4 inches of snow, which is well below average. On average, Denver receives more than 11 inches of snow during the month of March."

Luckily, we get most of our water from mountain snowfall, but all the same, you may want to give your trees and grass some extra water if you live along the front range, because they have gotten less water than normal this year (and particularly this month).
