Dining Review: Trinidad Gourmet

I have a thing for Caribbean food, and this place is delicious, and inexpensive.

We shared the fried plantains (yum!), a double (basically two pieces of fried dough with some kind of delicious chickpea mix in between- try it with hot sauce), a veggie roti (soft delicious bread filled with potatoes, pumpkin, green beans, cauliflower- yum!), and the jerk chicken sandwich (actually I didn't get to try that one because my husband wolfed it down so fast- he really liked it!). We also had the sorrel to drink- quite tasty and unusual! All for $21. Not a fancy place by any means, but really delicious food.

I wish this place was closer to us but if we're ever up in that area I know where to go!
