Dining Review: Big Bad Wolf's

Big Bad Wolf's House of BBQ
5713 Harford Rd
Baltimore, MD 21214

This is the best BBQ we've tried in the Baltimore area. Kevin got the pork ribs, and described them as smoky and tender- the meat pulled right off the bone. He had the Texas sweet sauce and liked it. The accompanying corn bread was the right sweetness but a little too dry.

I had the BBW sandwich- a combination of pulled pork, brisket, and bacon on a soft yummy roll- quite delicious! I had the Kansas city sweet sauce. Next time I might try the Kansas City spicy (I like all the choices in sauce!). The combination of pulled pork and bacon was fantastic. I wasn't as crazy about the brisket- seemed a bit dry to me. Also, the roll was great, but so soft it couldn't quite stand up to all the meat and the sauce- I had to eat it with a fork.

Fries were just okay (though their "small" had ample proportions and a nice container of ketchup). Wish they had sweet potato fries!

I also had a mint iced tea- there could have been a bit more ice, but the taste of the tea was great and went well with the barbecue. They also have sweet tea which sounded good.
