Austin, TX: The Farmer's Market

Two of my girlfriends, Michelle and Courtney, invited me to go to Austin over Labor Day weekend for a "girls' weekend" and to celebrate all of our birthdays. Yeehaw! I'd never been to Texas, and though Austin may be quite different than the rest of the state, I'm still going to count it. :)

We had a busy busy 2.5 days in the city. We ate a lot, we walked a lot, we talked a lot, we saw a lot- overall a very successful trip!

Our trip began with a visit to the Austin's Farmers' Market. So. much. good. food.

They had this cool, gnarly old tree where you could sit and eat:

And, being Austin, they of course had music:

One of the places we tried was this cute food stall (there are food stalls/carts/trailers EVERYWHERE), which served "Texas Czech":

We tried the Czech Benedict. It was goooood.

It was fun to wander around and people watch:

Next up: we head to South Congress Street to do some shopping! (and more eating).
