We were just trying to figure out my new camera, so we took lots of goofy, pretending to be serious, pictures:

And this tree didn't look like much at the park, to be honest, but I had some fun with Photoshop elements:

And then Kevin took pictures of me while I enjoyed the fruit salsa :).

And then we had fun taking pictures of each other's eyeballs (yeah, maybe we've been together a long time). Mine are the blue ones, Kevin's are green. I like how you can see the other person taking the photo in the reflection. Warning- this may be closer than you ever wanted to get to our eyeballs. But I think irises are cool.

And my really cool artistic version (if you're not grossed out by eyeballs yet):

Wow, you can even see your contacts! Remind me what camera/lens you're using? I can't ever get an eye shot that close with what I'm working with.
ReplyDeleteErin- I have the nikon d3000- it has just a 18-55mm lens. We were pretty close when we took the pictures though :). And you can crop/zoom to get closer in Elements- if the resolution is good enough, it retains most of the details.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun - I love eye shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog. It really is more fun when people comment. I find out people are reading my blog- but they don't comment. So now I am commenting on your blog, since you like comments too. I want to tell you that I am jealous of your new camera and how it creates even more awesome pictures for your blog. My pictures are very inferior to yours. I look forward to what Taiwan looks like with your expert editing and photography.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Erin
while we're talking cameras, you should think about joining Ashley's scavenger hunt! Tons of fun and it'd be interesting to see your take on Baltimore with it.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try an eye crop and see if that helps my eye shots. That's one of the theme items this week so it's a good time for me to practice!
