Baby Pink Eye and 1st Cold

My poor baby got an eye infection last week! She apparently has a clogged tear duct (which my dad noticed right away, being such a good eye doctor), which led to the eye getting infected. We had to go to the pediatrician and get antibiotic eye drops for her. Luckily it cleared up right away, though I did have to take the day off of work because daycare wouldn't let her come in until she had been on antibiotics for 24 hours.

Here she is on our "day off"- you can kind of see that her right eye is a little pink and watery. It actually looks better here- she had woken up that morning with her whole eye crusted with goop.

Luckily she didn't seem too affected by it- we had lots of good cuddle and play time.



And then, I'm not sure if it's related to the eye or not, but she got a cold- which Kevin and I both then also got (Kevin seems to have a worse case of it though). So our house has been full of sniffles and coughs this week. Lovely! With a baby in daycare, I suppose we should get used to it!
