Grand Prix and St. Michaels

Over Labor Day weekend, Kevin headed out to a wedding in Colorado, while my parents came to Baltimore to see Nora (I decided it would be too hectic to fly to Colorado for 2 days with a 3-month old).

Unfortunately, our original plans to hang out in Baltimore that weekend were foiled by the Grand Prix. Big loud cars and a shutdown downtown with no parking did not sound like much fun to us (but we did walk down and see some of the action near the Inner Harbor on Friday night):

So the next day we escaped the hustle and bustle of the Grand Prix and headed to the Eastern Shore- namely, St. Michaels, Maryland. We even got to stay at the place where "Wedding Crashers" was filmed- The Inn at Perry Cabin. I thought the hotel was lovely. Our room was great and there was plenty of space for my parents and Nora and me (it was two floors). This was our view:

We visited the ship museum, sat along the waterfront and ate local snacks while I nursed, walked around the adorable main street area, and swam in the pool. It was a nice break from the city! Nora loved spending time with her grandparents. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
