Trip to Colorado
About a week ago, Nora and I ventured to Colorado so I could go to a work conference and so that her grandparents could love her up a little bit. :) (Kevin sadly had medical school duties).
My conference was great, though definitely a little constrained due to the baby being with me- for example, I couldn't go to the several evening activities, including a poster session, dinner at the Denver Art Museum, and another dinner for a committee I'm on. On the other hand, I usually get pretty burned out on all that socializing pretty fast anyway, so maybe it's just as well.
I did get to talk to a lot of different people, so that was great. I presented two posters, though I thought the poster sessions were too short.
Nora, meanwhile, got spoiled rotten by her two grandmas. :)

She also saw her first snow, though I forgot to get a picture of it. It doesn't stick to the ground long in Colorado! I hadn't brought any of her really warm snow garments so we really couldn't go outside anyway. I'll take a picture next time....
She also met her first dog, Dante- I think she had a mixed opinion. She thought his little bark was quite funny. She laughed about the barking for like 5 minutes, it was so cute! But, she wasn't a fan of his ear infatuation:

Here's a little happier picture of my mom and dad with the two "little ones":

Overall, I know the grandparents loved seeing Nora, since they haven't seen her for 2-3 months and she's grown a lot. I wish we lived closer so they could see her more!

Just popping in to tell you that Nora is absolutely adorable!
I love the last photo! Adorable! I did laugh about the dog licking her ear, her face is priceless. :)
