Baltimore Zoo: Take Two

You can read about our first trip to the zoo here, but it was more fun this time!  Nora was much more excited about the animals and also the weather was nice and cool but not too cold, which is much better than being too hot.  Plus, Nora was able to walk or run most everywhere.  When she wasn't walking, she was riding in her new Step2 Push Around Buggy that her Great Uncle got her for Christmas.  She loves riding in here (and eating graham crackers)!

She liked the lions at the front of the zoo:

The polar bears weren't doing too much this time, but the Arctic foxes were enjoying the cooler weather:

One fun thing we did this time was to pay a couple of bucks to feed the giraffe.  You just get one frond of leaves but it's a good photo opp- wish I had gotten a slightly better photo but those giraffes go fast!  Nora was pretty excited about seeing the "raffe" so close:

She loved exploring, and was very fascinated by this waterfall:

Her favorite animal might have been the penguins.  Every time we tried to get her to leave to go the next exhibit she cried.  They were fun to watch hopping into the water (and yes I told Kevin he better have a death grip on her up there!):

The other favorite was the petting zoo (which wasn't a zoo so much as just goats.  But she was super excited about the goats and had to pet each one).

I mean, how happy is she???

But for real cuteness overload, look at the cutest goat of all time:

I also had to do a comparison picture on the bog turtle. 6 months of time for Nora = longer hair, more teeth, and enough growth to now be easily touching the ground. I keep looking at this photo- I'm so grateful for this feisty little one!

  1. I cannot believe how close the giraffe was to you! And those arctic foxes are so beautiful. I've been following your blog since before Nora was born and all your pics of her lately make her look so grown up!
