It was so nice to have a full week in Colorado, as we got to spend a lot of time with our families. After Christmas, we spent the next afternoon/evening with just Kevin's family. Nora got to try out her cousin's new dinosaur scooter:
... and open presents from her aunt and uncle, and Grandma and Grandpa:
... and practice climbing the stairs. No more crawling up (or down) the stairs for Nora, she's a big girl now, and doesn't even like anyone to help her (if I try, I get a "No, mommy!" and my hand pushed away. So we have to sneaky spot her. And so it begins).
The rest of the week we visited with my friends Kim and Sean (they have an amazing playroom for their kids which Nora loved), visited the Denver Natural History Museum with my mom, and played in the snow (Nora is not too sure she likes it; maybe a little too cold):
But mostly Nora just played with her new toys:
and enjoyed the Christmas-y season:
The difference a year makes! This was taken at last year's Christmas, when Nora was 6 months old. She mostly just has a lot more hair, and is considerably taller (and obviously more dignified, lol):
And of course now she can climb on furniture, much to our dismay:
I leave you with my favorite group shot of the trip, Nora in her "naughty" hat (the other side says "nice" so you can decide what she should wear based on her behavior), with my sister and my dad and Dante (even the dog is looking at the camera, when does that ever happen?):

Great photos...looks like a lovely time! What kind of straw cup does she have in the photo at the highchair? Evan's drinking from a straw now so I'm looking to expand our sippy cup collection to have more straw cups...thus I'd love any recommendations you have!
