First haircut

First things first... happy birthday to my dear husband.  I think you're amazing!

Okay, now to the blog....
Technically, I have cut Nora's bangs, but the back of her hair was pretty uneven and her bangs were getting too long, so we decided to take her into the professionals (Cartoon Cuts in Columbia, for those who are local).

Here she is looking a little nervous before the haircut:

I thought maybe she would freak out when we put her in the chair, but instead she got very stoic.

They did have Dora on the TV for her to watch which did seem to distract her a little though it was hard to tell if she was watching it or was just freaked out.

She looks so grown up here! (sniff sniff)

They put her hair up in these cute clips and she got a lollipop.  That seemed to perk her up back into her smiley self and for the rest of the day she kept touching her hair and saying "haircut!".

  2. Oh she is beautiful! and has so much hair. Did you feel sad when she got it cut? Just the thought of my daughter getting her hair cut makes me feel really sentimental.

    1. Thank you so much. I did feel a little sad, but probably less so since I had cut the bangs at home before- then I really did feel sad. I mostly felt sad because she looked so big in the chair- she definitely did not look like a baby any more.

  3. She has such beautiful hair! I have no idea when we'll venture to get Evan's hair cut. It's getting long (over his ears, and in the back), but it's still so thin and barely there that I don't want to cut anything yet. We'll see how long I can hold out! :)
