Anyway, we've been the last two years when Nora was a newborn and when she was one, but this year she was much more invested in the activities! The first day we went to the beach and she had a great time running in the waves, and then building sand castles with Grandma.
She does this hair twirling thing. You think it's kind of a cute habit at first- until you have to deal with the tangles it creates. Ugh! That side of her hair is getting shorter as I have to cut out impossible rats' nests every few days.
She loved having her own little chair.
You can never have too many buckets.
Back at the house, Nora spent a lot of time playing in the kiddie pool. Sometimes the water was a little too cold at first?
Artistic bubble shot:
Oh, the lobster!
This one got chicken fingers (though she tried a bite or two of the lobster):
We truly treasure these moments of family time! Even though Maine is a lot harder to get to from Colorado compared to Baltimore, I hope we will still be able to go fairly regularly.
