There are lots of fun activities for kids in Maine. For one thing: frog catching! I used to love catching frogs as a kid in some of the creeks across from our house. I got to use my frog-catching skills this year and help Nora catch some frogs. I love these photos of her and Kevin going out to get some!
Caught one! We put them in the bucket.
Nora was not scared of it at all- we tried to teach her how to be gentle with the frog. She was pretty good!
Another favorite activity is to go down to the little beach area. There's usually no one else here, and there are lots of rocks and shells to pick up and throw in the water (which is still ice cold, but Nora didn't seem to mind too much).
I, on the other hand, thought it was fr-eezing! This is my I-can't-feel-my-ankles-anymore pose:
This night, Kevin's mom treated us by babysitting Nora while we went out to dinner- date night! Thanks, Sharon!
There is a nice little restaurant on the water called the Osprey. I had white wine, and blackened salmon tacos- yum!
Then we walked around and looked at the boats, and then stopped by DQ on the way home. It's always nice to have a little vacation time together, just the two of us.
